Do You Know Jesus?

If I was to ask you, would you like to be born again? I can almost read the response in your lips saying "yes" and continuing that thought think about the things that you have done in your life that have not left you in peace, perhaps they are quite a bit.

The Bible (God's word) speaks to us about a new birth.  John 3:3 says to us: “no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

God loves you.

John says in 3:16  “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.God loves you and has a plan for you.

God created you so that you could have companionship with Him. But...

1. Sin has separated you from God.

Romans 3:23 says: "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."  We were deserving death but since God is so good he says in Romans 6:23:  “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

2. Jesus gets you to God.

God is just and he punishes sin, but also He loves us and wants to save us from the eternal condemnation that's why he sent his Son Jesus to die for you and for me. Romans 5:8 says to us: “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

John 14:6 shows us the way to God: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

3. If you want to have eternal life you must do the following things:

  1. Repent  admit that you are sinful.
  2. Confess  to God your sins, apologizing.
  3. Leave  your old way of living and begin a new life with Jesus Christ.
  4. Believe  in Jesus Christ, trusting only in Him for your eternal salvation, and  inviting him to enter your heart.

    It says in John 5:24  “Whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”.

Pray this little prayer:  God, I have been discovered by your Word how much you love me; I recognize that Jesus died for me and I repent for having lived away from you; I’m a sinner and I want to live eternally with you. Please write my name in the Book of Life. Amen.”
